Westview Residence West, Silvera’s new, affordable seniors apartment building, is officially open after a weekend of celebration.
On Friday, May 27, Silvera hosted a formal ribbon cutting with CEO Arlene Adamson and Silvera board chair Rob Easson along with Minister of Seniors and Housing, Josephine Pon; Ward 6 Councillor, Richard Pootmans; and Ward 13 Councillor, Dan McLean. They were joined by and our Westview Resident Ambassadors, George and Gee Lung.
The new independent living community is a $24.8 million, 82-unit apartment building providing affordable housing for seniors. It joins Westview Town Suites on the same site, creating a campus of supportive living and independent living units.
Then, on Saturday, May 28, Westview by Silvera hosted a public Grand Opening with more than 300 people in attendance. Havana Cuban Dance Studio gave an awe-worthy show and guests were able to experience life at Westview firsthand with creative card making, live music and a sampling of our Chef’s creations.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day and appreciate the support from the Silvera team and the surrounding community. The first residents will be moving in very soon and we can’t wait to see this residence come to life!
