To make it easier for potential residents to reach us, Silvera’s sales and leasing team recently moved into Aspen Commons, one of our supportive living communities in Bridgeland.
“There were two main reasons our team relocated: accessibility, and myth-busting,” says Pam Urban, Senior Manager, Sales & Leasing Operations for Silvera.
“Seeing is truly believing when it comes to seniors housing,” Pam says. “It makes a huge difference for people to see the kind of homes we provide and feel the energy of the community. People can more easily understand what we offer when they witness it themselves.”
Additionally, the new sales office at Aspen is 100 per cent accessible on the ground floor of a centrally located building with a bus stop and ample free parking.
“Walk-ins are a fairly significant segment of our applicants,” says Pam, who notes that there were 371 residents or family members who dropped off applications in person in 2024, a 250 per cent increase over the year before.
“Some of the people we serve don’t have reliable or consistent online access and prefer personal support when applying,” she adds. “We are open for questions and encourage seniors housing seekers to come to Aspen and learn what their options are with us.”
Before the move, the Sales and Leasing team was located at Silvera’s old head office at Centre 70. The ninth-floor office was not easily accessible for seniors, partners or employees using walkers or wheelchairs.
The new Sales and Leasing office is a former storage area next to the training centre. Silvera’s Capital Maintenance team worked hard to get the offices operational by mid December, which included moving a door, painting, and upgrading the electrical, data, and lighting systems.
“We are so grateful to the residents at Aspen for allowing us to invite people into their home to see what Silvera is about,” says Pam.
Aspen Commons is located at 1171 Bow Valley Lane NE in Bridgeland. In early January, the rest of Silvera’s administration team moved nearby to Wood Centre at Suite 300, 2535 – 3 Ave SE.
