Silvera is a trusted leader and a strong advocate for affordable (discounted) and well-priced market housing on behalf of seniors in Calgary.
We partner with all orders of government to deliver on our commitment of ensuring that independent older adults have access to safe and affordable housing options, and to the services and supports to meet their lifestyle needs as they evolve.
By providing policy input with all orders of government and tirelessly advocating for capital funding and innovative approaches to deliver more needed affordable housing for independent older adults, we are both a champion of seniors living in Calgary and we are committed to being accountable to our community and government partners.
Building New Seniors Housing
To address the urgent need for more affordable housing, all orders of government need to collaborate to fund projects with greater speed and efficiency.
Strengthening the Lodge Program
Supportive living lodges should play a key role in supporting Alberta seniors through the funding and implementation of 24/7 onsite home care.
Collaboration
There is power in a collective voice, and Silvera is committed to collaborating with community members and others in the seniors and housing sectors about issues that matter to seniors. Arlene Adamson, CEO of Silvera for Seniors, is also president of the Alberta Seniors & Community Housing Association (ASCHA), a member driven, industry association that advocates on behalf of seniors and community housing providers, and those they serve.
