Francis, a Shouldice Manor resident, recently benefitted from a Friends of Silvera donation that was used to repair and mount two very special medals.
A British Army veteran, Francis received a British Empire medal from Queen Elizabeth, as well as another medal for his service in Northern Ireland.
Gerald Roberts, community manager at Shouldice, who is also a veteran, arranged for the medals to be repaired and framed, and recently presented them to Francis.
