Jocelyn Rempel serves as the Chair in Older Adult Health and Associate Professor at Mount Royal University, where she founded the Centre for Health and Innovation in Aging. In this role, she is dedicated to bridging the gap between health and innovation through various initiatives that engage students and the broader community.
Jocelyn is actively involved in enhancing opportunities for post-secondary students to learn from and engage with older adults. Her initiatives include simulation programs, digital health research, and intergenerational activities on campus, all aimed at improving care for the growing demographic of aging adults. She has established several partnerships with senior living organizations, older adult associations, and industry, leveraging these collaborations to drive her work, initiatives, and programming at Mount Royal University and throughout the city.
With her extensive background as a gerontological nurse and business owner, Jocelyn brings a unique perspective to Silvera. Her entrepreneurial skills, combined with her health expertise, enable her to address the challenges and opportunities presented by an aging population through innovative solutions and technology. Her research on age-tech devices and applications focuses on improving functionality and wellness, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for older adults. Driven by a strong commitment to better care for seniors, she is a noteworthy leader in her field.
